TEACHING

This page displays a selection of projects / works / concerts by students that accrued under my supervision.

From 2011 to 2012 the ›Robert-Schumann University of Music Düsseldorf‹ appointed me as visiting professor in Music Informatics at the ›Institute For Music And Media‹.

Since 2017 I teach in the Master Program ›Klang & Realität‹ at the ›Robert-Schumann University of Music Düsseldorf‹

Since 2011 I give seminars at the Institute for ›Media & Culture Science of the Heinrich Heine University‹.

From 2015 to 2016 I gave seminars at the ›Art Academy Düsseldorf‹.

During my studies I gave classes and seminars at the ›Wesleyan University‹ in the USA.

Since 2006 I gave talks and workshops at different academic institutions around the globe: such as the ›University of Alabama‹ USA, ›Bauhaus University Weimar‹, the ›Leeds Beckett University‹, UK, & the ›Eastern Connecticut State University‹ USA.

More recently, in my seminar ›Acoustic Art‹ at the IMM, we explore possibilities of practical applications and presentations of sound, music and visual media through concerts and exhibition situations. Over the period of six semesters we realized the following projects: a concert evening at the ›Aquazoo-Löbbecke-Museum‹, compositions for a car parade, a streaming concert in the ›Botanical Garden‹ of the ›Heinich Heine University‹ Düsseldorf and a composition for ten voices that was composed and performed together with my students inside the ›Charlotte Posenenske‹ exhibition at the ›Kunstsammlung NRW‹.

In 2019, I organized and curated the festival series ›Sonify‹ at the ›Museum K21‹, where students shared the stage with international artists. In 2021 we had installations and concerts at the ›Simultanhallen Projekte‹ Cologne.

Upcoming in fall 2021 is a concert within the Robert Ashely festival context at the HSD Düsseldorf
