PUMPE (2004-2013) ––––––––––––––––––––––––––––––––––––––––––––––––––––––––––––––––––––––––––––––––––––

A quite complex musical instrument, with the focus on live performance (solo or collaboration), based around concrete sound material that can be "formed" in many different ways.

My fist solo album "Cause Unfold Proceed" is based on two different versions (2007 & 2010) of this instrument.

You can listen below to one of the five pieces. Additionally for more information or ordering you can visit following webpage: Cause Unfold Proceed

FRENCH CONNECTION (2012-2013) ––––––––––––––––––––––––––––––––––––––––––––––––––––––––––––––––––––––––––––––––––––

4x Wavetable-Synth controlled via 2x Apples Multi-Track-Pads

+ Granual-Synthesis & 8 Channel Ambisonic.

This instrument I developed in Toulouse France, in contrast to "Pumpe". Just based on additive synthesis, not on concrete material / samples. Four wave-tables are played with multiple finger-gestures.

LARGE-SCALE INTERACTIVE ARCHITECTURE

Wall 1.0 "The Prayer’s Drums" is an interactive multi-touch installation.
The visitors are invited to touch and spin a large-scale array of virtual drums. Each of the drums possess a sound scape that react accordingly to the spinning amplitude.

Queensland University of Technology Brisbane: “Remoteness” Australia May 2011

Prix Ars Electronica: “Honorable Mention Digital Musics” Austria June 2010

Software application for the installation "The Prayers Drums" developed at IERC Singapore with Louis-Philippe Demers and Armin Purkrabek. This software controls the audio part of the installation. 100 virtual tiles "spinning" 100 sine or noise generators in a multi-channel environment depending on the movement of the participants. If nobody interacts with the installation, the installation runs by it self through various pre-programmed patterns and algorithms.
